Aravind was selected to pursue his masters training as an Orthodontist from GDC, Chennai, based on his undergraduate achievement. He spent over 10 years as an orthodontic practitioner and mentoring dental students, before relocating to the UK in 2006. Over the years he has gained vast experience in managing malocclusions of varying severity. Aravind uses wide variety of orthodontic and orthopaedic appliances achieve ideal results. Following recent certification Aravind has added Incognito lingual orthodontics to list of other treatment modalities like the fixed appliance, functional and clear aligner.
Aravind continues update skills by regularly attending course and meetings.
When not treating patients, Aravind likes to spend time with his son, play tennis player and ski.
We are delighted to welcome implantologist Dr Wilhelm Grotepass.
Dr Wilhelm Grotepass qualified as a specialist in prosthodontics at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1991. After his specialization he joined the Medical University of Southern Africa. In 2003 he moved to the UK and has been working in the South of England ever since.
His research covers a wide field from crystolography of mineralised tissues, palaeontology to ultra hard castings on diamond surfaces, for which he got an American Patent. Wilhelm has special interests in Occlusion, dentures, full rehabilitations and Implants.
His hobbies include sailing and photography, but his greatest passion is undoubtedly his Triumph Speed Triple Motorbike
Ranj qualified as a dentist in 1993 from the University of Sheffield. He was awarded Master of Science in Periodontology (gum disease) in 1998 from the Royal London Hospital, where he was trained in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the gums. He has been a member of the British Society of Periodontology since 1996.
Ranj was the principal dentist in a busy south London practice for five years
He enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a special interest in Periodontology. He attends many courses including some in America at the IDEA Institute in San Francisco. He believes one is continually learning and that Dentistry has become a fast moving field with constant advancements in technology and materials. The responsibility to keep up to date falls on the shoulders of the clinical dentist, so that they can provide a better level of care for their patients.
Ranj is married to Amy and they have a daughter. He loves to Ski and is an advanced level certified scuba diver.
Reena qualified as a dentist at The University of Liverpool Dental School in 2003. She moved to London for 5 years where she worked in general dental practice. After completing several courses including a certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry, she gained her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF) which recognises higher standards in general practice. Having worked in both community and hospital dentistry she has most enjoyed working in general practice, and has been pursuing her interest in Restorative Dentistry. She is also experienced in dealing with nervous patients whom we welcome to the practice. Reena is a trained, registered Invisalign provider and can provide clear braces.
Reena has also trained as a Dental Appraiser and has been involved with appraising other dentists in the Wessex region in recent years.
Amy is a qualified Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist and qualified from Portsmouth University in 2014. Prior to this she trained and worked as a dental nurse and worked in the local area. She has an interest in working with nervous patients to ease them into dental treatment and also enjoys working with children to promote good habits that they can take in to adulthood.
Dental Hygienist graduated in 1997 from the University of the Western Cape, as a Dental hygienist. Since then she has worked in hospital , community and private practice setting in Cape Town, Pietermaritzburg and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She has been living and working in the UK since September 2011. "My aim is to promote Dental health education as much as possible as I strongly believe that: Prevention is better than cure".
